Documents needed for

PERMESSO DI SOGGIORNO CE per soggiornanti di lungo periodo

(Permenant resident card in Italy)

We can apply for PR-Permanent residence card after five years of arrival (calculated from start of issuance of first permesso), irrespective of  expiry date of the current permesso .

Below are some points based on experience gained.

Disclaimer:The below points are based on experience in Turin(piedmonte) .Each region in Italy may require sometimes different/additional or less documents

Regular documents which mostly we will already possess:

1.       Passport

2.       Residence permit (a valid one before expiration date)

3.       Codice fiscal paper (or Tessera Saniteria)

4.       Work contract ( It has to be’ indeterminato’ )

5.       Last 3 months payslip

6.       Letter from HR stating the status of contract and about its continuation.(Usually available in your company SAP HR/Internal portal)

7.       Modello UNILAV (get from HR)

8.       Module CUD of that previous year or 730 Module.(Usually automatically available in your company SAP HR/Internal portal)

9.       House contract (Registered at agenzia della entrata)

10.   16 euro stamp (Marco da bollo)

11.   Auto-certification ( Stating the family component and residence)

12.   4 Passport size photo with white background (no eyeglass)

Documents which we need to prepare (if not available before)

13.   Idoneita alloggiativa for house (A certificate from commune which usually has validity still that year end. It can be obtained through any agency guy or directly submitting documents at commune office .This is required in Turin , don’t know about other province)

14.   Carta di identita (*Residence must be the same as house contract address (can be changed in anagrafe office ) ,needed for getting Idoneita alloggiativa).

15.   Court certificate(Certificato  dei carichi pendenti) , stating that we don’t have any pending criminal charges (Its valid for 6 months and there is a counter in court  at Turin ,which provides this mainly for PR.This is required in Turin , don’t know about other province)

16.   Our Italian university Degree certificate and Mark sheet. If no degree from Italian university , have to pass A2 exam and submit that certificate.

17.   If you have any minor children below 6 years, they can also apply (Carta soggiorno) along with you. Only need their passport,permesso and codice fiscal copies with your application.Except small tax amount ,nothing additional to be paid for children permesso ,while paying in post office. Note :If you applying for your minor child (Long term permesso) ,then they will be considered as an ADULT for the space requirement(house space) and  has to be proven requirements are meet (number of adults livable in house) including them in the Idoneatia alloggiativa certificate for the house.

After posting in post office , complete the finger print on the appointment date  by taking with you all original documents .Message will arrive after the card is ready for delivery .

Carta soggiorno is for lifetime and has to be update with photo every 5 years  .No need to apply/produce further documents during update.If we are outside of EU(Schengen) area over 12 months continuously ,then the Carta soggiorno will become invalid. (Note:conditions can be changed ,better to keep updated with recent details from immigiration office)
