Error correction - One and Same Certificate

For family reunion Visa, we have to submit a relation proof certificate (marriage or Birth certificate etc.)

If there is any change in name and surname given in certificate and passport, then you have to prepare one and same certificate for each error.

Even in case of parents name given in birth certificate for child, for example, in comparison between marriage certificate and child passport, you need this certificate if there is any difference. One common mistake could be giving surnames as initials in marriage certificate and full expanded surname in passport.

If 2 or more errors are in one certificate (ex-birth certificate) , a single ‘one and same certificate’ mentioning all the clarifications can be produced.

The one and same certificate has to be typed (sample here) and get it issued from village officer (panchayat office) or directly issued from Tahsildar office or from Registrar of Birth/deaths office in corporation which issues birth certificates or the office which issues that certificate (example-Registrar office in case of Marriage certificate) by producing supporting valid ID and certificates for clarification.

It’s better to get this certificate from issuing office/location. In case of difference in location, Example-Certificate issued in city A and currently residing in City B ,We can get from corresponding office in City B. This is okay if A& B are in a single state. Do not know in case of different state.

Please Note: For this kind of name discrepancies, Self-declaration on registered paper from a notary public is not accepted by Italian embassy .Only a Government office issued certificate is accepted.

Then these certificates has to be verified and attested(Sate Home department), apostilled (MEA Apostille),translated to Italian, get seal from embassy like all other certificates .So it’s better to be issued in English ,than in local languages.

Its better do this immediately along with other certificates attestation, as it is time consuming .In some states, this certificate can be requested online at the government website(e-seva). But in Tamil Nadu, it can be only requested directly at the corresponding government office.
